Discovering Aphantasia, Hidden Superpowers & A Story of Manifestation
In this episode of Aphantasia Experiments, Robin shares the moment they first discovered they had aphantasia—through what they thought was a psychic ability test that turned out to be about visualization. That realization set off a powerful journey of self-discovery, learning, and embracing hidden strengths like intuition, quick pattern recognition, and synchronicity.
Robin also introduces a free quiz designed to help people with (and without) aphantasia uncover their unique brain-based gifts and superpowers.
Then, it’s story time: a real-life tale about manifestation, timing, and how the universe sometimes delivers exactly what we need—but not always in the way we expect. From neighbourhood ripples to serendipitous timing, Robin reflects on how intention, patience, and trust play a role in how our lives unfold.

Full Moon Magic: Songs from the Collective, When Lyrics Become Signs
Fifty episodes in, and I’m still rambling, learning, growing, and sharing what it feels like to live at the edge of big shifts. This conversation weaves through energy work, Reiki, and the realities of balancing passion with practicality, while also diving into the deeper layers of consciousness—nonverbal communication, telepathy, dreams, and the ways we’re all connected beyond the physical.
I talk about why I’m moving Reiki sessions to Fridays, the downloads that wake me up at 3am, and the creative visions pulling me forward (including a screenplay about life, death, and consciousness itself). At the heart of it all is the reminder that growth isn’t linear—it’s expansive, magical, and often a little messy.
If you’ve ever felt the pull toward something bigger, or wondered how your inner shifts are guiding you forward, this episode is for you. And hey—if you want to be one of the OGs, you can find me now on Instagram at Aphantasia Experiments.

Can Supplements Like Magnesium or L-Theanine Spark Inner Sound and Visualization?
In this short, unedited dog-walk episode, I share a strange personal experience with sleep, supplements, and aphantasia. After struggling with insomnia and experimenting with magnesium glycinate and L-Theanine, something unexpected happened—I vividly heard a song in my head, almost as if it were playing through headphones.
It left me wondering: was this an auditory hallucination, a side effect of exhaustion, or maybe even the result of a simple deficiency? Could minerals or nutrients like magnesium or L-Theanine play a bigger role in visualization and inner experience than we realize?
I’d love to hear if anyone else has noticed changes in their ability to visualize or hear inner sounds after trying supplements. Have you ever experienced something like this? Reach out at roocreative@gmail.com

Connected: Bodies, Media, and the Truth Beneath It
In this deeply personal (and dragonfly-surrounded!) episode of Aphantasia Experiments, Robin takes you on a breezy walk through the tangled threads of connective tissue disorders, hypermobility, media distortion, and the power of consciousness.
From a painful rib injury that revealed a diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome to reflections on how a bendy body can also impact visualization, Robin explores how everything — our health, our perception, our media, and our collective understanding — is intricately connected.
She dives into topics like aphantasia, MCAS, the Beighton score, hormonal changes, telepathy tapes, and how unchecked media narratives (hello Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively) shape not only public opinion but even our careers and culture.
If you’ve ever felt like your body didn’t follow the same rules as others’, or that the world around you is feeding you a version of truth that doesn’t sit right, this episode is for you. Raw, unfiltered, and full of insight — it’s time to rethink connection.
Creative Without Sight: Aphantasia, Canva, and the Future of Marketing
In this episode of Aphantasia Experiments, host Robin takes us on a heartfelt journey through creativity, marketing, and the hidden strengths of living with aphantasia. Although aphantasia means the inability to form mental images, Robin shares how this unique brain wiring has not limited her creativity — it’s actually enhanced it. From a career in graphic design and publishing to digital marketing and innovation, she reflects on how storing real-world inspiration and deeply noticing colors, patterns, and ideas has shaped her work in profound ways.
Robin also highlights the transformative role Canva plays in her creative process today, especially with powerful new tools like Canva Code and Canva Sheets. For anyone balancing an overflowing river of ideas (hello, ADHD and high-creativity minds!), these features make it easier than ever to bring concepts to life without needing a fully visual imagination.
Throughout the conversation, Robin opens up about how working with AI tools like Canva and ChatGPT isn’t about replacing creativity — it’s about unlocking it, especially for those whose brains work differently. She talks about the emotional side of creativity, the importance of being kind (even to AI!), and how technology can empower individuals who might otherwise feel overlooked by traditional creative paths.
Whether you live with aphantasia, ADHD, are bursting with untapped ideas, or are simply curious about new ways to innovate in marketing and design, this episode offers encouragement, inspiration, and actionable insight. Creativity doesn’t require a mind’s eye — it just requires heart, observation, and the right tools.
If you’ve ever felt like your brain works a little differently — and you wondered if that was a weakness — this episode is your reminder that it might actually be your greatest creative strength.
